In Plain English
At Förnya, we care deeply about timber and the way it ages. Every restoration is approached thoughtfully, using natural finishes and methods that respect the material rather than masking it. Because timber responds to its environment, results will naturally evolve over time depending on use, sun, rain, and maintenance. We work carefully, follow product specifications, and always honour your rights under Australian Consumer Law. If transport is arranged, it may be handled by a trusted third party, and we encourage you to contact us promptly if you ever have questions or concerns so we can help.
Terms and Conditions
1. General
By accessing this website or engaging Förnya for services, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. These terms apply to all services provided by Förnya across New South Wales and Queensland, including but not limited to timber restoration, furniture restoration, deck restoration, and related advisory content.
If you do not agree with these terms, you should not use this website or our services.
2. Informational Content
All information provided on this website and associated channels (including blog content, emails, and social media) is for general informational purposes only. While we aim to provide accurate and helpful information, Förnya makes no representations or warranties regarding completeness, accuracy, or suitability for a particular purpose.
3. Quotations & Scope of Work
Quotes are based on information provided by the customer, including photos where applicable.
Final pricing may vary if the condition of the timber differs materially from what was disclosed.
Any additional work required outside the agreed scope will be discussed and approved before proceeding.
4. Timber Is a Natural Material
Timber is a living, natural material and responds differently depending on:
Species and age
Prior treatments
Exposure to sun, rain, heat, and moisture
Ongoing maintenance
Variations in colour, grain, absorption, and ageing are normal and not considered defects.
5. Finishes, Longevity & Maintenance
The lifespan of any finish depends heavily on environmental exposure, use, and maintenance.
While we apply products strictly in accordance with manufacturer specifications, Förnya cannot guarantee a specific lifespan or appearance over time.
Maintenance recommendations will be provided where relevant.
6. Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantees, rights, or remedies available to you under the Australian Consumer Law.
Where services fail to meet a consumer guarantee, you may be entitled to a remedy as required by law.
7. No Express Warranty
Except as required by Australian Consumer Law, Förnya does not provide an express warranty on restoration or staining work due to the variable nature of timber, environmental exposure, and maintenance factors beyond our control.
8. Third-Party Transport & Handling
If Förnya assists with arranging furniture transport, delivery or pickup may be carried out by a third-party provider.
Liability for transport, handling, and transit rests with the transport provider.
Customers may choose to organise their own delivery and pickup if preferred.
9. On-Site Work & Insurance
Förnya holds public liability insurance appropriate for on-site services in New South Wales and Queensland. This insurance does not extend to pre-existing conditions, structural defects, or unrelated property issues.
10. Customer Satisfaction
We take pride in our workmanship and aim to ensure customers are satisfied within reason. Any concerns must be raised promptly so they can be assessed fairly and professionally.
